The thought-provoking question \u201cIs science a game for the young?\u201d serves as a metaphor, highlighting the belief that every idea, no matter how small, can grow into a meaningful solution when nurtured in the right environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At a time when Southeast Asian countries face urgent challenges\u2014from climate change and sea-level rise to increased natural disasters, environmental pollution, biodiversity loss, and pressures of rapid urbanization\u2014the role of youth has become more significant than ever. Across the region, numerous initiatives are taking shape: Singapore\u2019s green urban planning and smart water management systems; Indonesia\u2019s mangrove restoration and coral-reef protection with strong youth participation; Thailand\u2019s Zero-Waste movements in schools led by student groups; and, in Vietnam, growing youth engagement in environmental education, clean-energy solutions, green entrepreneurship, and digital innovation for sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SETY Summer Camp provides an experiential learning space where young participants explore their ideas, develop project proposals, and discuss sustainable solutions and policy pathways for green transformation. Through these activities, \u201cgreen seedlings\u201d of today have the opportunity to grow into the \u201cforest of knowledge\u201d that will contribute to a sustainable future for Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SETY Annual Report No. 02 compiles the reflections, research, and project concepts of SETY learners, focusing on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Youth perspectives on socio-ecological transformation in Southeast Asia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Case studies of successful green initiatives across the region<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lessons and implications for Vietnam<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emerging trends and policy recommendations to strengthen youth engagement in sustainable and green transitions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This report is not only an academic publication but also a memorable milestone for SETY participants\u2014a recognition of their efforts and creativity throughout the SETY 2025 journey.
