    What Does SETY Camp Look for in Its Participants?\n

    - Participants are young people aged 15 to 35.\n
    \n- Participants are young people with an interest in scientific research.
    \n- Have an interest in and actively participate in activities and projects related to social issues, environmental issues, and sustainable development.
    \n- Participants who enjoy outdoor activities and teamwork.
    \n- Participants who are physically fit and able to fully participate in all six days of the camp.
    \n- Participants with the potential to apply and further develop the knowledge, skills, and outcomes gained from the camp.
    \n- Participants should have an open-minded mindset and an interest in cross-cultural learning experiences.
    \nThe SETY Camp Organizing Committee will provide key research themes related to the camp\u2019s activities and encourage participants to further develop these research directions.
    \nWe prioritize applicants who are interested in learning about and gaining a deeper understanding of Social-Ecological Transformation (SET).
    \nThe camp provides knowledge and skills to foster participants\u2019 attitudes, awareness, and actions, empowering them to become more confident in their studies, work, and everyday lives.
    \nThe knowledge and experiences shared at the camp will help participants gain a deeper understanding of their values and equip them to overcome challenges.<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    How to Apply for SETY CAMP?

    Applicants should access the registration link, complete all required information, and upload the requested documents directly through the application form.
    \nPlease prepare the required documents in advance, complete the application form, and click \u201cSUBMIT APPLICATION.\u201d
    \nPlease note: The Organizing Committee will not accept any late applications, regardless of the reason.\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    When Should You Apply?\n

    You only need to submit your application before the application deadline. However, we have noticed that most applicants tend to wait until the last minute to submit their applications.
    \nIf you wait until the final day to submit your application, please keep in mind that the online registration system may become overloaded due to a large number of applications being submitted within a short period of time.
    \nTherefore, the Organizing Committee encourages you to submit your application as soon as you have everything ready. Whether you submit early or closer to the deadline will not affect your chances of being selected, as long as your application is submitted within the specified period.\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    Does the application need to be completed in English?\n

    Participants should prepare all the required information, including a motivation letter, CV, and completed online application form. Applicants may submit their application materials in either Vietnamese or English. All applications will be considered equally, regardless of the language used.
    \nThe selection process is competitive and based on the submitted applications. Successful applicants are those who prepare outstanding and convincing applications, demonstrating to the Organizing Committee that they have a strong passion for science, are well-prepared, and are genuinely interested in the camp\u2019s theme of Social-Ecological Transformation (SET) and related issues.
    \nThe Organizing Committee does not require applicants to follow any specific template for their CV or cover letter. Applicants are encouraged to creatively design their own CV format. The quality of your application materials, particularly your CV, will play an important role in determining whether you are selected for the next stage.\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    How Does the SETY Camp Participant Selection Process Work, and How Are the Results Announced?

    SETY CAMP has a two-round participant selection process:\nRound 1: Application Screening\nApplicants submit their application materials to the Organizing Committee within the specified application period. Within two days after the application deadline, applicants will receive an email from the Organizing Committee regarding the next round\u2014the interview.\nRound 2: Interview\nSelected applicants will have an interview with the Organizing Committee to discuss their ideas or projects, personal expectations for joining the camp, and any other questions or concerns they may have.\nWithin two days after the interview, if you receive an email from the Organizing Committee, congratulations! You are one of the outstanding applicants selected to participate in SETY CAMP.\nIf you do not receive an invitation, we regret to inform you that your application has not been selected. Please follow SETY CAMP\u2019s website and Facebook page for important dates and updates about the program.
    \n\nPlease remember that not being selected does not mean you are not outstanding. It simply means that, based on the applications, the Organizing Committee found other candidates who were a better fit for this year\u2019s camp theme and activities. You are still an outstanding individual with your own strengths and achievements in your field.
    \nAnd perhaps you may be a great fit for SETY\u2019s themes in the coming years if you continue to apply. Due to the large number of applications received, the Organizing Committee will not send individual notification emails to applicants whose applications are not selected.

    How long does the SETY Camp last?

    The camp will take place continuously over six days. The location will be announced and updated on the project\u2019s website and Facebook page.
    \nDaily activities will begin at 8:30 AM and end at 5:00 PM. Afternoon sessions will start at 2:00 PM, and participants can use the lunch break to discuss and work on their group assignments.
    \nParticipants are encouraged to discuss the lecture topics and related issues with experts and lecturers.
    \nOn the final day of the camp, each participant group will present its project and showcase its team\u2019s communication video.\nParticipants who successfully complete all required sessions and activities will receive a Certificate of Completion, which will be presented during the final session or issued after the camp ends.<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    Will the Organizing Committee assign participants to teams, or can we choose our own teams?\n

    Participants will rank their top three preferred topics based on their own interests from the list of topics proposed by the Organizing Committee. They will then be assigned to a group according to their preferences. \n
    However, each group has a limited number of participants, so the SETY Camp Organizing Committee will give priority to those who register for their preferred topics earlier.
    \nIf the topics you have selected have already reached their maximum capacity, the SETY Camp Organizing Committee will notify you and ask you to choose another group.\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    Where is SETY Camp held?\n

    The key is to bring all participants together at a dedicated training venue away from their usual workplace, allowing them to fully focus on the camp without being distracted by their daily work.

    Is SETY Camp a profit-making program?\n

    The Organizing Committee confirms that SETY Camp is an activity under the Social-Ecological Transformation (SET) project.
    \nSETY Camp is a completely non-profit initiative and does not generate any profit.
    \nThe funding we receive from our sponsor, the Rosa-Luxemburg Stifung Southeast Asia - Hanoi Office, is used exclusively to support the organization and implementation of SETY Camp, including pre-camp, during-camp, and post-camp activities, as well as other activities under the SET program. \n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    Who Issues the SETY Camp Certificate?\n

    The certificate is jointly issued by the Rosa-Luxemburg Stifung Southeast Asia - Hanoi Office and the Institute for Policy, Innovation and Interdisciplinary Sciences (IPIIS). The certificate confirms the duration and program of activities completed by the participants.<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    Do participants need to meet offline before the trip to get acquainted and divide up tasks?\n

    About one week before the trip, the SETY Camp Organizing Committee will send participants a detailed activity plan via email or personal Zalo, and connect members of the group through social media platforms such as Facebook or Zalo.
    \nThe Organizing Committee will communicate with and provide detailed guidance to participants via Facebook or Zalo, as well as through the team leaders of each group.<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    When will participants receive their certificates?\n

    Are the participation costs really fully covered?\n

    The costs covered by SETY Camp include accommodation and meals throughout the six-day camp, transportation to and from Hanoi, and expenses related to camp activities. The Organizing Committee will not be responsible for any additional expenses, including personal expenses, costs arising from risks or unforeseen circumstances, or compensation for any damage caused by individual participants. \n
    \nCovered expenses include:
    \n- Round-trip transportation: Hanoi \u2013 Camp and Camp \u2013 Hanoi;
    \n- Accommodation throughout the camp;
    \n- 3 meals\/day
    \n- Drinking water;
    \nExpenses not covered include:
    \n- Personal expenses;
    \n- Food and drinks ordered separately;
    \n- VAT invoices;
    \n- Additional transportation costs;
    \n- Personal healthcare and medical expenses;

    \nParticipants are responsible for safeguarding their own valuable personal belongings.<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    Can anyone attend the camp simply by registering and showing up?\n

    Unfortunately, it doesn\u2019t quite work that way!
    \nSETY Camp is a science-focused summer camp for young people interested in Social-Ecological Transformation (SET), scientific research, and related issues. As we can only invite a limited number of participants to officially join the camp, we encourage applicants to prepare an impressive and complete application that meets all the requirements of the Organizing Committee.
    \nHere\u2019s a little secret: the application selection process is quite competitive! \n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n

    Is the camp conducted in English or Vietnamese?\n

    Many applicants worry that, because SETY Camp is funded by a foreign foundation, the camp will be conducted in English. Perhaps you\u2019re not quite confident in your English skills?\n
    \nDon\u2019t worry! The language of instruction and discussion at SETY Camp is Vietnamese.\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/li>\n \n
