The SETY Camp Organizing Committee will provide key research themes related to the camp’s activities and encourage participants to further develop these research directions.
We prioritize applicants who are interested in learning about and gaining a deeper understanding of Social-Ecological Transformation (SET).
The camp provides knowledge and skills to foster participants’ attitudes, awareness, and actions, empowering them to become more confident in their studies, work, and everyday lives.
The knowledge and experiences shared at the camp will help participants gain a deeper understanding of their values and equip them to overcome challenges.

You only need to submit your application before the application deadline. However, we have noticed that most applicants tend to wait until the last minute to submit their applications.
If you wait until the final day to submit your application, please keep in mind that the online registration system may become overloaded due to a large number of applications being submitted within a short period of time.
Therefore, the Organizing Committee encourages you to submit your application as soon as you have everything ready. Whether you submit early or closer to the deadline will not affect your chances of being selected, as long as your application is submitted within the specified period.

Participants should prepare all the required information, including a motivation letter, CV, and completed online application form. Applicants may submit their application materials in either Vietnamese or English. All applications will be considered equally, regardless of the language used.
The selection process is competitive and based on the submitted applications. Successful applicants are those who prepare outstanding and convincing applications, demonstrating to the Organizing Committee that they have a strong passion for science, are well-prepared, and are genuinely interested in the camp’s theme of Social-Ecological Transformation (SET) and related issues.
The Organizing Committee does not require applicants to follow any specific template for their CV or cover letter. Applicants are encouraged to creatively design their own CV format. The quality of your application materials, particularly your CV, will play an important role in determining whether you are selected for the next stage.

SETY CAMP has a two-round participant selection process: Round 1: Application Screening Applicants submit their application materials to the Organizing Committee within the specified application period. Within two days after the application deadline, applicants will receive an email from the Organizing Committee regarding the next round—the interview. Round 2: Interview Selected applicants will have an interview with the Organizing Committee to discuss their ideas or projects, personal expectations for joining the camp, and any other questions or concerns they may have. Within two days after the interview, if you receive an email from the Organizing Committee, congratulations! You are one of the outstanding applicants selected to participate in SETY CAMP. If you do not receive an invitation, we regret to inform you that your application has not been selected. Please follow SETY CAMP’s website and Facebook page for important dates and updates about the program.
Please remember that not being selected does not mean you are not outstanding. It simply means that, based on the applications, the Organizing Committee found other candidates who were a better fit for this year’s camp theme and activities. You are still an outstanding individual with your own strengths and achievements in your field.
And perhaps you may be a great fit for SETY’s themes in the coming years if you continue to apply. Due to the large number of applications received, the Organizing Committee will not send individual notification emails to applicants whose applications are not selected.

The camp will take place continuously over six days. The location will be announced and updated on the project’s website and Facebook page.
Daily activities will begin at 8:30 AM and end at 5:00 PM. Afternoon sessions will start at 2:00 PM, and participants can use the lunch break to discuss and work on their group assignments.
Participants are encouraged to discuss the lecture topics and related issues with experts and lecturers.
On the final day of the camp, each participant group will present its project and showcase its team’s communication video. Participants who successfully complete all required sessions and activities will receive a Certificate of Completion, which will be presented during the final session or issued after the camp ends.

Participants will rank their top three preferred topics based on their own interests from the list of topics proposed by the Organizing Committee. They will then be assigned to a group according to their preferences.
However, each group has a limited number of participants, so the SETY Camp Organizing Committee will give priority to those who register for their preferred topics earlier.
If the topics you have selected have already reached their maximum capacity, the SETY Camp Organizing Committee will notify you and ask you to choose another group.

The key is to bring all participants together at a dedicated training venue away from their usual workplace, allowing them to fully focus on the camp without being distracted by their daily work.
The Organizing Committee aims to create an immersive and inspiring learning environment that promotes an ecological and healthy lifestyle.

The Organizing Committee confirms that SETY Camp is an activity under the Social-Ecological Transformation (SET) project.
SETY Camp is a completely non-profit initiative and does not generate any profit.
The funding we receive from our sponsor, the Rosa-Luxemburg Stifung Southeast Asia - Hanoi Office, is used exclusively to support the organization and implementation of SETY Camp, including pre-camp, during-camp, and post-camp activities, as well as other activities under the SET program.

The certificate is jointly issued by the Rosa-Luxemburg Stifung Southeast Asia - Hanoi Office and the Institute for Policy, Innovation and Interdisciplinary Sciences (IPIIS). The certificate confirms the duration and program of activities completed by the participants.

About one week before the trip, the SETY Camp Organizing Committee will send participants a detailed activity plan via email or personal Zalo, and connect members of the group through social media platforms such as Facebook or Zalo.
The Organizing Committee will communicate with and provide detailed guidance to participants via Facebook or Zalo, as well as through the team leaders of each group.

You will receive your Certificate of Completion on the final day of the camp.

The costs covered by SETY Camp include accommodation and meals throughout the six-day camp, transportation to and from Hanoi, and expenses related to camp activities. The Organizing Committee will not be responsible for any additional expenses, including personal expenses, costs arising from risks or unforeseen circumstances, or compensation for any damage caused by individual participants.
Covered expenses include:
- Round-trip transportation: Hanoi – Camp and Camp – Hanoi;
- Accommodation throughout the camp;
- 3 meals/day
- Drinking water;
Expenses not covered include:
- Personal expenses;
- Food and drinks ordered separately;
- VAT invoices;
- Additional transportation costs;
- Personal healthcare and medical expenses;

Participants are responsible for safeguarding their own valuable personal belongings.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite work that way!
SETY Camp is a science-focused summer camp for young people interested in Social-Ecological Transformation (SET), scientific research, and related issues. As we can only invite a limited number of participants to officially join the camp, we encourage applicants to prepare an impressive and complete application that meets all the requirements of the Organizing Committee.
Here’s a little secret: the application selection process is quite competitive!

Many applicants worry that, because SETY Camp is funded by a foreign foundation, the camp will be conducted in English. Perhaps you’re not quite confident in your English skills?
Don’t worry! The language of instruction and discussion at SETY Camp is Vietnamese.
